Overview of processes

connect:IT contains various processes with different functions. In the following, all processes are listed and briefly described. The processes are subdivided into the categories PICKING, PUTAWAY, TRANSFER, INVENTORY and ADMINISTRATION. All applications are delivered as standard and can be used by the customer.

Picking

Guided picking for production order

In the case of guided stock removal for the production order, existing and planned material withdrawals are selected and displayed for selection. By entering the order number, all relevant items for the production order are determined from the order pool and selected for processing. The selected transport orders can be processed either directly or, if necessary, in batch. After completion of the process run, the material is removed from the lift.

Guided picking to the material

The guided stock removal for the material enables you to select open transfer orders in the worklist by scanning the material number for processing. You can select several orders for different materials and process them together.

Guided picking for transfer order

Existing transfer orders are selected for the guided stock removal to the transfer order. You can select one or more transfer orders from the worklist using the entry field "TO number". The selected transport orders can be processed either directly or, if necessary, in batch processing.   

Guided picking for delivery

In the case of guided stock removal for the delivery, existing deliveries are selected. You can select one or more deliveries from the worklist using the input field "Sales document". The selected transport orders can be processed either directly or, if necessary, in batch. After completion of the process run, the material is removed from the lift.

Multi Order Pick with Pick To Light function

Batch picking can also be called Multi-Order Pick. The aim is to pick several orders simultaneously from the warehouse lifts in order to achieve an optimization of the pick numbers. Optimization is achieved by picking as many picks as possible from one tray and thus reducing the number of movements. Multi Order Picks can be collected and picked for storage tasks, outbound deliveries or production orders. The graphic representation and the use of a Pick To Light unit can be used to support the order picker.

Manual stock removal for order

In the case of manual stock removal, orders for picking are created directly at the lift by entering data for removal and picked directly. In addition to the withdrawal, the consumption of the materials for the entered order can also be posted directly.

Putaway

Guided putaway to the production order

The items in the order pool can be preregistered by scanning the production order number. You can mark any number of items for putaway and then store them together.

Guided putaway to material

To start putaway, you can select the items in the order pool by entering the material number. Any number of items can be marked and stored together. The marked items can be stored in parallel in all lifts of a lift group.

Guided putaway to purchase order

Items in the order pool can be selected for the purchase order number and stored together. The confirmation at the lift is then carried out for each material number.

Guided putaway to return delivery

All items in a return delivery can be stored by scanning/entering the delivery number.

Guided putaway to transfer order

To start putaway, all items of a transfer order can be marked and then put away together. Individual items are also possible.

Manual putaway to order

After entering the material number, quantity and order, a drive command for putaway is created. The necessary document postings for the material acquisition are also posted in the background. This means that the employee can enter a putaway without a previous process.

Manual putaway to cost center

Manual putaway from interface storage type 

Putaway can be started without an existing preceding document in SAP. You can use all stocks of an interface to start putaway. After scanning the material number, the available stock is determined and proposed for putaway. In addition, the quantity can be palletized before storage.

Stock transfer

Stock transfer with separate confirmation 

You can use this function to transfer materials. The following functions are supported:

  • Stock transfer on a tray

  • Stock transfer within a lift

  • Stock transfer between lifts

  • Stock transfer from the rack storage to a lift

  • Stock transfer from the lift to a rack storage system

The open transfer order items for the material withdrawal of a stock transfer are displayed here. The material withdrawal can be confirmed in this step.

Stock transfer material transport

The open transfer order items for the material transport of a stock transfer are displayed here. By confirming the picking, the order is now visible in the material transport. The transport can then be confirmed in this function.

Inventory

Storage bin inventory scan

Application for carrying out an inventory directly at the lift. The application is entered by scanning the inventory document. The inventory count is started on the basis of the inventory document and recorded by the employee for each shelf. No additional recording of the count results is necessary.

Storage bin inventory via document

This application is similar to the storage bin inventory scan. However, access is made here by entering the inventory document.

Administration

Tray Apps entry

This application contains several functions for managing trays. These include creating, copying, generating, editing and moving trays. There is also a function for searching on trays.

Direct tray control

This application offers the possibility of manually controlling trays in the lift and moving them into the removal opening.

Material search

Function to search for materials directly at the lift and display stocks per tray. In addition, a tray for stock control can be requested.

Picking

Guided picking to warehouse task

The stock removals are collected on the basis of storage tasks and made available in the order pool. When you select/scan the storage task, the processing is flagged and picked in parallel at the lifts after the start.

Guided picking to delivery

Picking for the outbound delivery starts all the storage tasks of an outbound delivery, per lift group, after the outbound delivery has been scanned or selected in the worklist. Picking at the lifts then takes place in parallel.

Multi Order Pick with Pick To Light function

Putaway in the lift is collected on the basis of warehouse tasks in the order pool and offered to the user. By selecting or scanning a storage task, the putaway can be marked or started directly. This makes it possible to confirm the putaway at the lift.

Guided putaway for handling unit

Putaway can be selected from the order pool by scanners of the desired handling unit and marked for processing. All selected storage tasks of the scanned handling units are then put away in parallel.

Administration

Processing of tray places

In this application, trays can be managed and adapted directly at the lift. Bins can be deleted and newly created with different sizes.

Direct tray control

This application offers the possibility of manually controlling trays in the lift and moving them into the removal opening.
